“I get the question all the time: “What is the difference between a violin and a fiddle?” The answer? It’s all in how you play it! I am a passionate believer that everyone should learn about the totality of this incredible instrument and embrace all the colors it has to offer! Mastering it is a lifetime journey, and many who embark understand it becomes a lifestyle. This blog aims to share with you my own lifestyle of Violin Vogue and Fiddle Fashion, and some tips from the adventures I have been lucky enough to have along the way!
One of my favorite things about being a musician is that you can travel the world. I wish I could have had an outlet to find tips and ideas regarding fashion and travel specifically for violinists, since we have certain restrictions regarding fashion when we play. Being a traveling violinist can run into its own set of inconveniences too.
They don’t really teach this stuff at the music conservatory, but in this day and age it is important to look good – and feel good – when on the stage, and that can seem like a daunting task. I want to offer a place for violinists to find products and ideas that make life more seamless, transitioning from the every day to being ready to play.
I want to create a forum to share with you my favorite fashion essentials for violinists – a one-stop-shop kind of blog for the great items and tips I have found helpful while on the road – and at home! I hope to get more ideas from my readers as well.”
